Well, as far as i can tell i'm the only Samurai in the ls, and i felt sorry for the samurai job discussion having no threads so i felt i'd start one, and what better than every young samurai's dream, the solo skillchain.
When i say solo skillchain, i mean without meikyo shisui, cos thats just cheating.
There are various ways to do solo skillchains as samurai but for the most part they require specific equipment or subjobs.
1. Self skillchain using bow... Requires SAM/RNG
To do this you need to use a speed bow and 90 delay arrows. Get Sharpshot and barrage ready then use your first Weaponskill, then once barrage has hit, spam your second weaponskill macro, if done right it should skillchain.
2. Self SKillchain using Jump... Requires SAM/DRG, i also find it works best with polearm
Wait until you have 80%tp+ then hit meditate, after one tic of meditate ( your tp has increased by 20%) hit your first WS, after that use Jump to land an extra hit, spam your 2nd WS macro. It takes some practice but it can be done.
Note. Having high jump makes this easier but isnt necessary.
3. Self Skillchain using precsion timing... Requires precision timing >.>
Once you have 80%tp+ attack then wait 6.2 seconds >.> then meditate and let off your first WS, if you did it right you shouldnt see your melee attack hit but the damage should come up on the log, then WS again, ive only ever done it this way once >.<
Note: its only 6.2seconds for a 450 delay weapon.
4. Self Skillchain with meditate... Requires timing.
Get 80%tp+ then use meditate, let it regenerate for one tic, just before it increases your tp again, use your WS, if you did it right it you should have tp in time to close the skillchain.
Note: dont worry if you cant do it, with the exception of 1+2 using barrage and jump, self skillchaining pretty much requires Store TP equipment, its really satisfying when you do it though. Its possible to self skillchain at level 30 with meditate and jump.
Take heed though, for the most part self skillchaining isnt worth it, as a samurai its your job to skillchain with others so never self skillchain unless you cant help out in another skillchain, they take too long to prepare for and have a large risk of failing >.>
Note: if you have a Suboro Sukero self skillchaining is stupidly easy, i dont have one myself but ive seen people with them ^^
I hope this inspires some of you guys to take up the katana
